Portland residents and advocates who track the city's campsite removal data will need to check a website instead of their inbox after June 30.

The City of Portland's Street Services Coordination Center sent its final email newsletter edition of the Weekly Street Services Report on Monday, June 30.

Going forward, the city will post the report each week on the Impact Reduction Program website at portland.gov/homelessness-impact-reduction.

The city did not explain why it is ending email distribution.

The final emailed report covers the week of June 22–28 and shows the persistent gap between campsite enforcement and shelter connections. The Impact Reduction Program received 1,593 new campsite reports that week, including 470 reports of people living in vehicles.

Teams assessed 656 reported sites, visited 349 active camps, and removed 107 that the city deemed health and safety risks.

Of the people encountered, 12 expressed interest in a shelter referral. Six accepted. Three used a bed.

Since April 2022, the program has offered 9,649 shelter referrals total; 2,926 people have used a shelter bed at least once.

The shelter referral figures represent only people who expressed interest and for whom a call was made to check availability, according to the report. They do not reflect everyone encountered at campsites.
